The World's Thinnest Mechanical Timepiece

Famous watch manufacturer Richard Mille has just their latest timepiece. Dubbed the RM UP-01 and developed alongside Ferrari, it is the by far the world’s thinnest mechanical watch. This model will be produced as a limited run of only 150 pieces but it will be interesting to see if these are actually popular among Richard Mille collectors.

Measuring at just 1.75 mm thick from dial to caseback, and featuring a baseplate and bridges crafted from grade 5 titanium that also includes 6 per cent aluminum and 4 per cent vanadium. What is more impressive is that the movement is just 1.18 mm thick, boasting a power reserve of 45 hours. What is more outrageous than how thin this watch is the price tag - $1.9m!
